Resources for Lent 2024
Lent is a forty-day season of preparation running from Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday (excluding Sundays) when the church invites us to depart from our ordinary routines. Lent is a time to prepare our hearts and minds for the great feast of Easter by reminding ourselves that we are human and that we are constantly in need of God’s grace, mercy and forgiveness. It is a time of self-reflection and repentance when we are asked to take up the practices of prayer, fasting, and self-denial, and to spend time meditating on God’s Holy Word. Below you will find a list of resources that I hope will be helpful for you and your youth as you seek to observe a Holy Lent.
- On Not Taking Lent Out On Our Bodies- Jodi Belcher
- Seeking: Honest Questions for a Deeper Faith– A series of daily devotional cards from A Sanctified Art

- d365-These devotions are written by ministers, professors, students, teachers, missionaries, denominational leaders, and others who work with and care for students. Typically, an author writes on a single theme for one week. In these devotions, you will read honest struggles and questions, all in the context of real faith. As you read the thoughts of the writers, think about your own response to the Scripture for the day. Let the writer’s words serve as background for your own conversation with God.
